We have entered the 46th year of a glorious academic journey. From a humble beginning made in the year 1980, having crossed many memorable milestones , today we have blossomed into a Senior Secondary School affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The untiring and dedicated efforts of the managing committee and staff have taken us to the towering heights of success and accomplishments.
Our school is managed by Kochulakshmi Tamburatty Educational and Charitable Society. We have a strength of over 2050 students, 87 teaching staff and 15 non-teaching staff.

In SSCE- 24 , the aggregate topper in Science stream was Abhinav Vinod with 94% marks, Vishnu Priya K with 93% marks was in second position and Jumana Haseen K with 92% marks in third position.
In the Commerce stream the aggregate topper was Archana Renjith with 94% marks. Out of 44 students,18 got distinction and 14 got first class.

School cultural and literary competitions are conducted from time to time. Best performers of School Kalotsav participate in the Kannur District CBSE Kalotsav .
In Kannur District CBSE Kalotsav 2025, Manushanker Lohi was adjudged KALOTSAV PRATIBA in Category 1. He obtained A Grade in Pencil Drawing and Digital Painting in Kerala State CBSE Youth Festival 2025

This year 47 students participated in various events.37 got A grade and 7 got B grade.
Ramanunni C,P Thanmay Vijesh and Nandan Suresh Marar won the third position in the Sahodaya District I T Quiz Competition.
Agrya Shaji of 11 A got the first place in the District Yogasana Championship-2025.
Harshith Jayesh of 7A was declared the individual champion in Sahodaya Chess Tournament.
Sahodaya Talent Search Examination was conducted on 1st November. Out of 740 participants,13 bagged gold medals with cash prize, 415 won gold medals, 130 got silver medals and 160 got Bronze medals.
Every year our students participate in the Sugama Hindi Pariksha conducted by the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha Trivandrum. Rithika Jijesh (8 D) & Sheza Madani obtained the 2nd rank .Anushka Aneesh & Devalakshmi KV got the 3rd rank .
In the Olympiads conducted by IOF, Diya Sumesh was declared the Zonal topper in Hindi Olympiad and Spell Talent Olympiad .
We began the academic year 2025-26 on second of June. Plus one classes commenced on 9 June 2025.KG Classes began on 11 June. We celebrated all calendar events in a befitting manner.
Environment Day was celebrated on 6th June with pledge, speeches, Eco Club inauguration, planting sapling and nature walk
As part of the Samvada project, 26 students visited the Thalassery Court for an insightful and enriching educational experience.The highlights of the visit was witnessing live court proceedings. This was followed by an engaging interactive session with Honourable Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mr. Ubaid Abdulla and Advocate Mithun.
International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June. Students of senior classes performed simple yoga exercises and ‘Surya Namaskar’ in the morning assembly.
Anti-drugs day was 0bserved on June 26.
In connection with the observance of Reading Week, reading and Quiz competitions were conducted.On July 2 ,we started the Pre-KG section.It was a beautiful and memorable day when the little ones began a new phase in their life at our school .
Tiranga Rally was conducted as a part of Har Ghar Tranga Campaign.Independence Day was celebrated in our school with patriotic fervour. Sri S V Sadruddin, member ,Management Committee, Kasturba Public School , conducted an enriching Quiz competition. Cash awards were given to the winners - Rohith Sooraj, P Thanmay Vijesh and Ramanunni C. Onam celebration was held on 29th August. The grand entry of Mavelis, mankas and manans was followed by thiruvathira ,onapattu and payasam distribution.Hindi diwas was observed on September 14th .Special assembly was conducted.
On children’s day students of classes I to VII staged a variety programme to make the day colorful and memorable. The Annual Sports Meet was held on October 10 at Manna Ground. The KG sports day held on 28, 29 and 30th October 2025.School trips and tours were conducted to Disney waves,Kodaikanal,Chickmangaloor,Kasaragod,Pallikara Beach,Eranakulam etc
Lady Police Officers deputed by the District Legal Services Authority conducted a self-defence training session at the school for our higher class girls on 28 August.
Kasturba Public School celebrated Kerala Piravi Day on November 1. Students of class X organized an extensive exhibition of old instruments.
An awareness class for girls of classes VIII & IX was conducted on 26th November .The session was led by Adv.Jameela representing the District court,Thalassery with the aim of educating students about self-protection and the problems associated with social media .
Children's day at our school was a vibrant, fun filled event for classes one to five. A vibrant cultural programme featuring various lively dance performances was organized.
We conduct evaluation tests and other exams periodically to assess student’s performance. Parent-teacher meetings are held, so teachers can identify struggling students, and remedial teaching is provided to help them improve.
To face the challeges of the changing scenario of education ,teachers should update themselves continuously.
Kasturba Public School, Kannur, hosted a Capacity Building Program for teachers on May 28, 2025.The session was led by renowned international trainer, counselor and family therapist, Mr. Chandran Nair.The session aimed to enhance teachers' professional effectiveness in classroom practices, and it was highly beneficial for all participants.
Ms.Anisha Mol P A , Ms.Salina C and Ms.Sruthi Santhosh attended 2 days CBP at various venues.
